Training
in Data Analysis
 |
|
DeciZium provides
a wide range of short training courses in data
analysis. These training initiatives, especially
designed for practitioners, focus on the use
of statistical software (Excel™ and specialized
tools). They aim to address the most frequent
needs of the professionals engaged in manipulating
or exploring data, whatever their field of
expertise.

We describe below a few examples
of our on-demand training courses. We can also design
customized training programs to meet your specific
needs. contact us to

Data analysis with Excel™ (typical duration: 3 days)
Goal
Excel™ is a powerful and widespread software resource. It is a friendly tool
allowing users to quickly create diagrams, charts and data analyses.
The training includes a basic introduction to the concepts of descriptive and
inferential statistics. It will then explore the application of different statistical
techniques using Excel™.
Public
This training course is intended to anyone wishing to present and analyze data
in a quick and efficient manner.
Pre-requisites
No specific statistical knowledge is required. Basic Excel™ skills desirable.
Content
- univariate statistics with Excel™;
- multivariate statistics with Excel™;
- pivot tables with Excel™;
- introduction to inferential
statistics with Excel™;
- case-studies.
Survey data analysis (typical duration: 3 days)
Goal
Acquisition of the necessary competencies to produce and analyze a survey.
Public
This training course is dedicated to professionals involved in the collection,
analysis and/or use of survey data. It is aimed at both the professionals who
commission and those who produce the surveys.
Pre-requisites
This course requires a general
understanding of statistical issues. It is also possible
to take the module "Data analysis with Excel™" in the first place.
Content
- main types of surveys;
- sampling methods;
- survey designing;
- statistical analysis
and interpretation of results;
- deployment with specialized software;
- case-studies.
Multidimensional
data analysis (typical duration: 3 days)
Goal
Multidimensional data analysis
techniques aim to extract and summarize the information
included in large tables, like those corresponding
to dozens of variables observed on thousands of individuals
during the surveys.
This seminar provides an insight on the main data analysis
techniques, namely presentation, classification and
modeling. A multidimensional data analysis consists
of the identification of homogeneous groups based on
a series of variables observed on a group of individuals.
Public
This training course is dedicated to professionals wishing to better understand
and synthesize data in order to take better decisions.
Pre-requisites
A basic knowledge of descriptive
statistics is recommended.
Content
- principal component analysis (PCA);
- correspondence factor analysis
(CFA);
- multiple correspondence analysis
(MCA);
- classification, discriminatory analysis and segmentation;
- deployment with specialized
software;
- case-studies.
